Identify the parts before filling
Locate the wide filling opening, top cap, reservoir, lower outlet and lower cap. Start with the container clean, dry and empty. Measure the intended powder separately according to its original directions.

Seller-supplied bottle-transfer illustration. Use the cap-state table below for filling and carrying.
Check the cap state at each stage
| Stage | Top cap | Lower cap | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fill | Open | Fitted | Powder enters through the wide opening |
| Carry | Fitted | Fitted | Both caps close normally |
| Prepare to pour | Fitted | Fitted until positioned | Bottle and funnel are supported |
| Release powder | Fitted | Removed | Outlet has a clear path to the bottle |
| Finish | Inspect before replacing | Inspect before replacing | Empty parts are ready for cleaning |
Move from loading to carrying
With the lower cap fitted, load the measured dry powder through the wide top. Leave room for the top cap to close normally. If the portion does not fit, use another storage arrangement instead of pressing powder into the closure.
Release the powder into the bottle
- Put the receiving bottle on a stable surface and open it.
- Check the clean funnel’s placement without forcing a connection.
- Support the funnel at the opening, then remove the lower cap.
- Stop if the setup tilts, the outlet is blocked, or powder collects at the neck.
- After transfer, close the receiving bottle before mixing as its instructions direct.
A funnel that enters an opening is not necessarily locked or self-supporting. If you cannot handle the cap while supporting the setup, pause and choose a workable arrangement before adding powder. These are handling instructions, not measured spill or flow results.
Reset after use
Empty residue and follow the seller’s cleaning directions. Dry the accessible surfaces before the next fill. FoodSafety.gov’s source below concerns general preparation hygiene, rather than product-specific dishwasher settings.
